Craftivism!

So, here in Tulsa we are very very fortunate to have a dance community that has come together over the last few years to raise money for groups such as the local ASPCA, food drives, and Paws & Stripes. I'm going to be sewing and teaching full time starting in October which means that I will be officially a full time artist. That's pretty scary/exciting. I have recently learned a new term, "Craftivism" and I am in love. I'm trying to decide what charity or activist group I could make certain pieces for to donate funds to, I am thinking once a month. I'd like to donate all the proceeds after supplies cost and online fees for a 12 part series ( Head dress, belts, necklaces). Tell me what charities you feel most passionate about and why. I need feedback on this and have considered Mercy for Animals as my 2014 goal through my store. I'm super lucky and have a great network of friends and family here who have helped to make this a reality and would like to help influence this generation through education and devotion to a cause.
